Description
The widest of the lone-bird frames sets one small heron and its nest against the full sweep of the place: pale cottonwood limbs crossing like beams, dark summer leaves, and the tan field beyond running its harvest lines to the edge of the evening. The bird faces west along the branch, unbothered by the distance in every direction. It is a picture about scale, and about the nerve it takes to homestead eighty feet up. Prints beautifully large.
